This is an informal introduction to our solar race car project. The students participating in the project are enrolled in the Waco High School in Waco, Texas, a medium sized 4A school. What is a Solar Raycer? A Solar Raycer is our name for a solar powered car that we intend to enter and race in the Winston Solar Challenge - sponsored by The Winston School of Dallas and The Dell Computer Corporation. The Solar Challenge is dedicated to the educational development of science students, but on a broader scale, the race objectives are to stimulate interest in technical education, promote the use of renewable sources of energy, and raise public awareness of these issues.  The buttons above will help you navigate around our website.
